March Mantel of the Month

The charming terracotta sheep has a mossy green/brown finish which is the look that I wanted for this earthy March Mantel.  I am so taken with these docile creatures and will carry the theme throughout the year.

The wire urn filled with ethereal flowering branches   bring height and beauty to that end of the mantel and I love the way it flows and makes a connection with the sheep posed on an oval hatbox in deeper colors.

China usually finds its way onto my mantels and this month is no exception.   The floral cup, saucer and beautiful rose plate have the same deep hues of green and also add a touch of romance to this spring mantel.   Two stone candle holders make lovely perches for my favorite crowned bird on a nest which looks like a birdbath and the urn topiary with nest and flowering vines.

Beside the lighthearted pastel glittered eggs tumbling from a scalloped box, I have placed an easel holding the plate and a tall tiered wire holder filled with moss and topped with another crowned bird.  He is exclaiming, "Every bird thinks it's own nest charming!"

This is our March Mantel my Friends and wish for you all a happy and healthy spring and Easter!
